I was referred to Mr Shatkar as an NHS patient and I was thankful for an excellent consultation and great advice on treatment. Mr Shatkar immediately picked up on my worry and was very reassuring throughout the whole process. He explained clearly what was going on and what I needed to do. The diagnosis was accurate and no surgery was required. The appointment was on time and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend Mr Shatkar. I saw Mr. Shatkar with regard to an Inguinal hernia repair. During the initial consultation he was very understanding and gave me a great deal of confidence. A detailed explanation of options and procedures ensured that I was fully informed. On the day of the surgery everything went exactly as he had so carefully explained and it was a kind thought that whilst I was in recovery he went to my room to reassure my wife that all had gone so well. The follow up consultation was once again very thorough and I am delighted to say that my recovery is complete. Cannot praise Mr.Shatkar and the Staff at the Brentwood Nuffield enough.I was in big trouble with a hernia and got to see Mr.Shatkar through a friend's recommendation.Everything was thoroughly explained both the positives and the risks.Operated on at midday and home by 6pm.I have just had my checkup some six weeks later and it would seem Mr.Shatkar is as delighted with the outcome as I am.

Great experience from the colonoscopy procedure that Dr. Shatkar carried out. He was very thorough and explained the pros and cons, including the follow up post-procedure actions and suggestions. The procedure went well and if any potential issues in the future, I'll be happy to return for other check ups. Dr. Shatkar is highly recommended.
